Course Overview

Finding a gas accumulation and bringing it into a commercial development will become more and more encouraging in this coming years due to the increasing gas demand for the domestic market as well as for export. The domestic markets would be the electricities, fertilizer plants, LPG consumers and the condensate buyers while the export would be the LNG markets in Japan, Korea, China and other countries.

Gas business is believed to grow as tight competitor to oil business in terms of energy sources as being cleaner and cheaper so that learning about and understanding on the gas business become more attractive to the investors / oil companies.

This course will explain all about gas reserve from the way to discover down the earth to the way it flows from the reservoir to the point of export (sales point) where it delivers revenues : exploration, exploitation, production, extraction and transportation. A case study on designing a development plan of gas field provided with the economic justification based on the PSC will also be delivered.

As from the legal side it will introduce the law no.22/2001 and the associate Government Regulation and he PSC term for natural gas. Further regarding the basic knowledge on natural gas, gas products for markets, gas marketing, gas pricing and Gas Sales Agreement will also be in the discussion.

This 3 days workshop will therefore cover the whole process and all the aspects that raise in developing a gas field commercially within the government regulation.
